1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, attending, or participating in any PlayExpo World event, exhibition, workshop, webinar, or by using our website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services or attend our events. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Event Registration and Tickets

Registration for PlayExpo World events requires accurate and complete information. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by PlayExpo World. Tickets are non-transferable without prior written consent from PlayExpo World management. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee who violates these terms, engages in disruptive behavior, or poses a security risk. Attendees must present valid identification and their registration confirmation upon request.

Ticket prices are subject to change without notice until purchase is complete. Group discounts, early bird specials, and promotional offers are available for limited periods and may be withdrawn at any time. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Recording, photography, or streaming of certain events, workshops, or presentations may be restricted, and attendees must comply with all posted guidelines and staff instructions.

3. Workshops and Webinars

Workshop and webinar registrations are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Participants must meet any prerequisites or skill level requirements specified for each workshop. PlayExpo World reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, registered participants will receive full refunds or the option to transfer to alternative sessions.

Workshop materials, presentations, and recordings are provided for personal educational use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without explicit written permission. Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct, respect instructors and fellow attendees, and actively participate in learning activities. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the workshop without refund.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content displayed at PlayExpo World events, including but not limited to logos, trademarks, text, graphics, images, videos, game demonstrations, presentations, and educational materials, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This content is owned by PlayExpo World, our exhibitors, partners, or licensed content providers. Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of any content is strictly prohibited.

Attendees may not record, photograph, or stream any portion of the event, workshops, presentations, or game demonstrations without explicit written permission from PlayExpo World and the relevant content owners. This restriction protects proprietary game content, unreleased titles, and confidential industry information. Violations may result in immediate expulsion from the event and potential legal action.

5. Code of Conduct

PlayExpo World is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or threatening behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic. All participants must treat others with respect and courtesy at all times.

Prohibited behaviors include but are not limited to: physical or verbal harassment, inappropriate touching or unwanted physical contact, intimidation, stalking, sustained disruption of talks or other events, intoxication or substance abuse on premises, theft or vandalism of property, and any illegal activities. Attendees who violate this code may be expelled from the event without refund and banned from future PlayExpo World events.

6. Health and Safety

Attendee health and safety is our top priority. PlayExpo World complies with all local health regulations and safety standards. Attendees must follow all posted safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and instructions from event staff and security personnel. We reserve the right to implement additional health measures, including but not limited to temperature checks, health screenings, mandatory masks, or capacity limitations based on current public health guidance.

Attendees participate in all activities at their own risk. PlayExpo World is not responsible for injuries, illness, lost or stolen property, or any damages incurred during the event. Attendees with medical conditions, disabilities, or special requirements should contact our accessibility services team in advance to ensure appropriate accommodations can be arranged.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlayExpo World, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your access to or use of our services, attendance at events, or inability to access or use our services.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to PlayExpo World in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. PlayExpo World collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

We collect personal information including name, email address, phone number, payment information, and attendance data for purposes of event management, communication, service improvement, and marketing (with your consent). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting our privacy officer at the email address provided in our Privacy Policy.

9. Force Majeure

PlayExpo World shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, labor disputes, utility failures, equipment malfunctions, or any other unforeseen events.

In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, PlayExpo World will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event or provide alternative arrangements. Refund policies in such circumstances will be determined on a case-by-case basis and communicated to registered attendees as soon as practically possible.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, parties may pursue mediation or arbitration as an alternative to litigation. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or prevent irreparable harm.

11. Modifications to Terms

PlayExpo World reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email and posted on our website at least 30 days before the effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were most recently revised. If you do not agree to modified terms, you must discontinue use of our services and may request cancellation of any future event registrations in accordance with our refund policy.
